The First Coast is blessed with many great public school programs - programs and schools that have received national accolades.  However, until every school in our district is one of those schools, improvements can, and should, be made.  I believe that the parents, teachers, and administrators of the schools are the right people to make school decisions, not politicians in Tallahassee. 

The next few years will be difficult with the class size amendment requirements coming to fruition, but I vow to work with the schools to help each one succeed despite class size requirement challenges. 

I am excited about the new schools being built in this district and I am eager to assist these schools to be the best they can be.  Children are the keys to a successful future and I strongly feel that the path to making every child a productive and positive member of society is paved with a great education.
