This district is unique in that our growth has advanced despite nationwide slumps.  New development areas have been built and people will soon be moving into those areas.  Now is the time to lay the transportation infrastructure that will make the metropolitan areas more easily accessible for our residents.  I fully support the funding and building of 9B, which will reduce the traffic burden on St. Johns County residents. 

I also support the use of tax incentives to attract new commercial businesses which will increase the tax base and relieve the burden on residential property owners. 

Thanks in large part to Mayor Delaney, Jacksonville has a "green belt" around the city.  While I support smart new growth, I will continue to protect the beautiful envioronmental landscapes that suround us today.
